Please help me welcome Caillin Shepherd to the spotlight of Navarre’s Lounge. This musician comes to us out of Manchester, England, and brings with them a wave of positive vibes and head-bobbing energy. The genre of the music is like EDM, electro house, progressive house, big room house, and deep house, but like all great artists, the feeling of the music from this producer is one of a kind.

I briefly spoke with this talented artist and was told that this single was inspired by Calvin Harris’ studio album. If you know Calvin Harris, you know there is a generous use of vocals, a consistent theme with varying alternatives, and enough personality to have you dancing in the club, shower, or car. “Motion” is no different.

“Motion” has a swing feel to the melody, which is accompanied by light and airy female vocals to start us off. The sound effects for transitions and buildup are implemented expertly, and the buildup of the momentum comes naturally to the listener’s ears. Once we get to the beat drop, the highs come out and I can feel the track “bloom” with each pass of the hook. After that, the snare hits keep you moving until the next high. As soon as I heard it, I knew this track would be on my playlist.
